There’s something timeless about a rainbow spiral. It’s one of the most recognisable tie-dye patterns in the world, but every artist has their own interpretation.

For this piece, I wanted to create a bright, vibrant spiral that celebrated colour while still embracing the organic movement that only ice dyeing can produce.

The result is Rainbow Radiance Spiral Ice Dye Hoodie – a one-of-a-kind handcrafted hoodie where six bold colours flow naturally from the centre of the spiral, creating a design that can never be duplicated exactly.

Building the Spiral

Every Dye My World garment begins by hand.

This hoodie was carefully spiralled, divided into colour wedges and dyed using professional fibre-reactive dyes before being covered with ice. As the ice slowly melted over many hours, it carried the dye deep into the fibres, creating soft blends, subtle transitions and natural movement throughout the garment.

Unlike traditional liquid tie dye, the ice dye process allows nature to take over, producing textures and colour variations that simply can't be planned.

Rainbow Radiance combines vibrant shades of:

One of my favourite features is how the colours appear to radiate from the centre while darker natural lines create depth and movement throughout the spiral.

No filters or artificial colour enhancement have been used—the photographs show the hoodie exactly as it appears after the complete dyeing and washing process.

The Details Make Every Piece Unique

One of the things I enjoy most about ice dyeing is that every fold, wrinkle and ice melt creates something unexpected.

If you look closely, you'll notice soft gradients, delicate colour transitions and subtle textures that only appear because the dye travelled naturally through the garment during the melting process.

These small details ensure that every Dye My World creation is genuinely one of a kind.
